Each is one of a kind, ethical and produced in a small batch; truly a fabric with a soul! Eri Silk is strong, dense and highly durable heirloom fabric, that gets better with time. Moreover its ‘ahminsa’ silk, made without destroying the left inside the cocoon. The silk from this natural fibre is readily biodegradable after serving its full lifecycle. Besides being 100% hypo allergic and antibacterial, due to its thermal properties, Eri silk is cool in summer and warm in winter.

About Artisan:
Each scarf is a collaboration of cloth that is a completely handmade artisan product, crafted by multiple generation of rearers, who hail from remote village ‘Bhagaiya’, Jharkhand and group of wooden block designers and block print artisans from Chennai.

About Craft:
Our Eri silk cloth is a completely handmade artisan product. Many women from self – help groups gather around post noon, to do the sorting of the empty cocoons. The methods used by the locals are environment friendly and sustainable. Each piece takes at least a week to produce, excluding the harvesting and printing by block print artists.
